Default BeCool Radiator ?

I'll picking one of these up for my Z, but I wanted to get an idea of how much larger this unit it is. Im also going to be pairing this up with the new Meizere street pump so I want to make sure clearance isn't an issue. Does anyone know what the stock or SLP dimensions are ?

Here are the Be Cool dims :

Core Dimensions - Medium, 22''wide x 18''high
Overall Dimension - 29''wide x 19''high
Designed for up to 400-HP applications.

Thanks in advance

The core is thicker. It should be a 3 inch core. You shouldn't have any clearance issue. But it will be close and you will have to make something to whole the Radiator up.

I am currently running the BeCool radiator in my SS. The core is much thicker, and it moves the fans further back about an inch. This makes for a very tight fit for things like the upper radiator hose, especially if you have the power steering cooler.

Otherwise, this thing rules. And you do not have to make any brackets to mount it, the factory parts all work.

Thanks Ryan,

Now Im just wondering if the Be Cool will clear the Meziere unit once it truly hits the streets. Since my ride is a Z I don't have the PS cooler but moving back 1 inch is cutting things really damn close.

Im guessing that you had to modify the lower air box as well as the lower mounts to compensate for the larger width.

You will have to get a new lower raadiator hose with the Meziere unil(I have the drag only pump). You also have to cut the lower air box and the frame rail that the radiator sits on.

You must have gotten a bum unit as mine sits inn the frame rail and air box with no issues at all. Also, with the street unit you will not need any new hoses. it still uses all the factory components(just got off the phone with them at 4:50).

nice....too bad I still have to get a new front tire (F1 super car) and 1.8 rockers before I can even think of spending $1K for a new rad and a water pump

Ryan, I take it your planning on installing the Meziere. Let me know how the install goes and if you run into any clearance issues.
