So I was thinking of doing a Xpipe off my LT's and run out the back with no cats and no mufflers and just having it be nasty loud? What do you guys think? anyone know how itll sound or have a similar setup or soudclip?

everyone i know that has ever done that has ended up scrapping their plans and using mufflers. You obviously know its loud cause thats a no brainer. But most seem to think its too loud.

If its a track car than definitly do it, if its a daily, Id say hell no

This has been my exhaust for the last 7,000 miles. I had the TSP true duals dumped for about 5,000 then had them ran over the axle and out a CME. I lovedit that way. sounded deep and yes it was loud but it was so much quieter inside the cabin compared to dumped. I got a 233/239 cam put in around 200 miles ago and now i think i need mufflers but not because its too loud but it is too raspy. Have not decieded yet though everyone i know loves it. Here is a cold start clip with the cam sorry never did one before. Fast forward to the last 10 seconds and it sounds better i did a bad job making that

from experience it attracts lots of attention wanted and unwanted . if you dont care go for it . though a good set of mufflers really helps out with getting rid of the wrong kind of attention .

It sounds terrible and doesn't make any more/sometime less power due to lack of backpressure. I wouldn't recommend it.

i did it and wouldnt reccomend it.....fumes(if dumped) will come in the cabin with the t-tops out....and besides....it;s waaaaay too loud like that.....you can spend 200 bucks and add a nice tone to the exhaust and you and everyone else will like it with mufflers!!!

but...the old saying goes for people that ride.....loud pipes save lives!!!!

I suggest mufflers. I had straight pipes at first and then had the flos put on. Much better sound now.

TSP TD's with no mufflers, Pacesetter Longtubes, and dumped before the axle. I have SLP Shotgun Resonators in place. It's pretty damn loud, I'd agree with the majority though. I hope this isn't a DD...

Yea, you really do need some sort of muffler. If you want it to be really loud, but not ungodly loud, do what i did, and get the bullet resonators (aka glass paks). They provide just enough sound deadening but leave it loud as hell. It may still be too loud for you, but at least it won't rattle the neighbors house 3 blocks away.

Wow Alright guys well When I find a shop I might jsut try the straight pipes and If i don't like it I'll have some bullets put on. I like the idea of being scary loud and honestly don't like my neighbors anyway! But thanks for the advice and I'll post up when I get it done and what i decide on. Think it'd be ok to do an under axel setup since I've heard its cheaper to have done and i'm kinda on a budget??
