Default AIR system deprogrammed - still runs?

I had it programmed out of the PCM the other day and I noticed the next morning when I started the car (haven't had a chance to remove it yet) it still came on for ~30 seconds. Will this continue to happen until I unplug the thing or did we miss something in EDIT. As soon as I get the block off plates I'm removing everything but didn't want to throw codes for it so I was hoping somebody would have some info on this.

Thanks in advance.

I had mine disabled over the weekend with LS1edit. You know what? I didn't even listen this morning to see if it was running on startup. I will listen this afternoon when I leave work to go home and report back.

I got a response on another board that said you are only disabling the error codes not the actual functionality of the AIR system. So after deprogramming it, when you unplug the system, you don't get any error codes.

Yeah you are going to have to un plug the pump to keep it from coming on. Might as well remove the whole thing while you're under there
