Default TB CAm question

I know that the TB cam is different after 99 but what I am curious about is if you can use a 99 cam on a 2000 Trans Am without haveing to change anything. Also what are your opinions on which cam is better. Thanks

Well the cam did change but its litterally insiginifigant.

If your going through the issue of pulling the cam out, put something at least a 224/224 cam in there.

I had to have my TB cable bracket modded to slide back about a half inch so I could run a BBK TB that had a 98-99 style TB cam. I want to go back to the 00'+ style cam. My gas pedal is way too sensitive especially with a 6spd car.

I have a 6 speed so it would be better sticking with the new cam then?
