what type of sheet metal to use????

Default what type of sheet metal to use????

I'm going to attempt to make my own ssra. What should I use that will not cause any overheating issues and lightweight???? all time and help is appreciated!!!!

Aluminum, probably a minimum of 40 thousandths thick. Just my thoughts.

You could use about any material that you are able to work with, it's just an air duct. 20 gage aluminum or stainless steel sheet metal would be my choice. You will need a sheet metal brake and a spot welder, or you could use rivets or small bolts and nuts; just be sure to use loctite. MIG welder on low heat is another option.
