Default to block off or not to block off

ok my ls6 intake is ready to go on. My questions is should I grind down the tabs or use the coolant lines and block offs? I just heard bad things happening when the rears are blocked off. cleaning the motor as you vote!

I vote grinding and using stock coolant lines. I wish you could run the stock line on a fast intake..

You are better off to fabricate lines from the old LS1 crossover with a tee and some rubber hose. That way you are sure the steam vents are purging and you don't have air pockets that could potentially overheat #7. Why everyone doesn't do this is beyond me.

I ended up grinding down a few ribs to clear my old lines just to be safe!

There is another option. If you choose to the LS6 style you can mod the stock ones to work so you dont have to purchase new ones. Im sure alot people will give me crap for this but it worked just fine for me. I had to do this as i went with an aluminum intake and didnt want to spend 40 bucks for item that took me all of 5 minutes to mod. High speed cut off wheel, i cut the stock down pinched the pipe and then jb welded the crap out of the lines that were pinched down. Tested them out before install and never had a problem with them at all. Never overheated either.
