I just sold my magnaflow and put a hooker on, the hooker came with the headers I bought so I just installed everything at once.

The magnaflow had a much deeper sound and was louder at idle and a little louder at WOT then the hooker. The magnaflow was a lot louder in the car but I think thats becaus it had extra hangers on the tailpipe and it just transmitted more sound into the car. On the out side the magnaflow had more of a 'rumble' and had a real nice deep tone at cruise, even sounded great with no cats.. I havent dynod yet with the new headers/hooker but the car as ran its best numbers so far.

As far as quality you cant beat the magnaflow, the muffler is nicely polished but I dont like the tips on a camaro. One reason I like the hooker is you can drop the whole muffler/tailpipe assembly at the track in 5 minutes and have a cutout + lose 35lbs.. I always dyno with the nufflers on but I havent tried the hooker yet on the dyno - will be a bad comparison since I swapped headers/Y-pipe as well. But the car ran its best (11.86 @ 117 at 3000' DA) through the hooker so it cant be too bad..

I love my Hooker catback. It sounded great on my car with stock manifolds and now with my Jet-Hot LT's it sounds even better. Its loud as hell with no cats and LT's. It has rasp with headers but hey i love rasp.....some people dont. No rasp with stock manifolds and some people say with cats there is no rasp either. How much is the magnaflow?? I bought my catback at Thunder when it was $259.

I've got the Hooker, with cats. Much better than stock, but still kinda quiet. Nice deep tone to it at WOT. I'm happy!
