Shut off switch?

Shut off switch?

I'm planning on relocating my battery to the back of the car, and i've been reading that I need a shut off switch in order to be NHRA legal. I go to the track every once an a while, but its nothing NHRA related. I just go to run the car a few times. Do i still need a shut off switch in order to run the car?

I believe you do if the battery is in the trunk, I had one on my old WS-6 and they looked at it when I went through tech. But I am not certain on the exact ruling on this.

I go to two different tracks. Only one of them checks the engine bay. I guess ill just go to the one where they dont check it. Thanks for the input.

By NHRA rules you must have a battery kill switch any time the battery is moved form the factory position. Any NHRA participating track should and will check for this when teching in. Some tracks will over look NHRA rules when doing a private track rental but still should follow the rules anyways.
