PCV system help, routing and part numbers?
PCV system help, routing and part numbers? Ok guys i keep getting this whistling(almost belt squeak sounding) noise coming from the back of the motor. It only happens when it gets warm. Well i decided to just pull the line coming from the catch can to the T/B and it stopped. It won't idle though SO i'm thinking a line is bad or bad PCV valve. Does anybody have a COMPLETE PCV system from a '99+ C5 or other that will work. I'll need all lines, PCV housing, and the plastic peice that plugs into the drivers valve cover. Or send me a part number. Thanks. It's gotta be that the system is builing pressure and is leaking when it idles. i can't hear it when i go up to higher. Idk for sure but other input would be good. It's got an intermittent whistle too when i start to gas it. like the main noise disappears and it whistles a high pitch whistle and then that goes away. i don't think it's an intake MANIFOLD leak but i think it's DEFINATLY something in the PCV system.
I think i found the problem. My valve cover doesn't have this vacuum line. It may be the reason it's building pressure. I basically just have the piece that goes from the drivers cover over to my catch can and then to the T/B no other lines. The front of the passenger cover gets capped as does the top line on the T/B with the catch can. i maybe will pull those caps on those vent lines to relieve the pressure that's apparently building up.

The complete set including PCV is available as a dealer part, I picked up a new one while I had the intake off because they are fairly inexpensive and the foam insulation on mine was getting old.
