Default Exhaust leak??

What does a leak in the exhaust sound like while driving?? I have a ringing sound coming from the rear part of the car while driving in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears, but relatively low speeds. its especially noticable when driving past parked cars because the sound echos off them. Can this noise that's got me worried just be a leak in my catback somewhere??

you may have exhaust leak, however, ive never heard of it described as a ringing....but i can tell you this, if you do have a leak, it will sound awful, especially with the loudmouth, and depending on how bad it is, the sound could range from a ticking noise to a terrible gurgling sound, both will get get louder and faster with acceleration. hope this helps!

oh i forgot to mention, the loudmouth has a tendency to have a rasp at low rpm's, this is probably your problem, mine only has very slight rasp, but ive heard it can be a problem

an exhaust leak is usually a "putt putt putt" kind of sound.

Mine sounded kind of like a really crapy ticking sound.
