dumped at the exhaust manifolds?? Hey everyone. What are the cons of having no y pipe bolted to the stock manifolds?? Will I blow out the valves? Seems like I have to run it this way until I can get the new manifolds to start my turbo build, because the bolts in the manifold-y pipe flange are broke and stuck... machine shop wants $30/bolt to remove them. We just dropped the new engine & the manifolds left on them in the car tonight. What should I do?
um, if youre talking about nothing from past the cats you should be okay. if you dont even have cats on, then damn I dont know. ive heard you can burn a valve that way and also that would just be even more loud and obnoxious than just no exhaust. I ran it just manifolds and cats for a while until I got headers and it just sounds like an old truck untill you get on it.
