PROBLEMS WITH A LEAK ON THE STEERING PUMP!!! H E L P !!!!!!! Guys, i do really need your help, i am in deep troubles! i have a big leak on the power steering pump(i do not know yet if it comes from the receptacle or the pump), and all the oil that was able to come out from that leak, got all my alternator moist with a lot of oil. I already removed the power steering pump, with the receptacle and the pully. I already removed the receptacle from the pump, and let the pump and the pully without removing them from each other.
So, please, i have some questions.
1) Is my alternator gonna get any damage from the oil that got into it!!?
2)I already checked the receptacle by applying oil, and blocking the two exits, so i could see if there was a leak on that damn bottle. Am i doing this right?
3) If there is a leak on the pump, where could it be? Because i do not really see how in the hell, can a piece of iron can leak, if i do not see any damage on it.
4) Can the teflon tape help me with leaks if i apply it where i have to put the pressure hose and the methal hose, and also where the pump bolts with the receptacle?
5) Please any comments would be really thanked if any of you has ever go through the same problem!!!!

Next time fill the reservoir up and have somebody turn the wheel back and forth with the motor running to see exactly where it leaks from before you tear into it. Check the pressure line really well. Your alt may be fine. mine got soaked a couple of times. goodluck
