Re: Does this car have headers on it? tale tell signs,#1 the shrader valve cap is missing,hmmm. those are deffinitly cuts for a rollcage,the color of the plastic by the shifter(used to be a switch pannel prolly), id deffinitly look into another car, if you have allready got this car it really need to be gone over with a fine tooth comb by an expert.if it makes ANY NOISE other than the norm (ie: if youve never heard it befor from a freinds car)it aint right,take it back. better safe than sorry,after all it is your money your spending..
Re: Does this car have headers on it? Also I don't think any noticed this but it looks to be a '99 Hugger Orange car. If so the roof and mirrors should be black, not body color. Maybe it's been wrecked or just painted to match. I've wondered what mine would look like full orange. Now I know and I'll just keep it black. I'd stay far away from this car unless it's a killer price and you are willing and able to take the risk.
Re: Does this car have headers on it? Guys, wow, i didnt see any of these posts. Heres the scoop. I paid 12,800 for it. Had 7,600 miles on it. I just drove it to pensacola from san antonio. No problems. I didnt notice, but the entire front bumper support is missing too. No washer bottle. The president of my local car club (who also has a H/C 99 Z28) is going to go over it with me saturday. It drives fine, has rear end noise for sure, clutch holds, but its so soft. The Ebrake does go up high. Yes it had a bolt in Roll cage, figured that out. Has a lid, Had SFC, Had Headers, can tell by new washers. Has a SLP line lock, thats what you saw above. I cant seem to get it to work though. Car PULLLLLS! i had a 99 SS 2 years ago. and have driven a LT1 since then, this one is fast. It was a dangerous buy, yes, but i got a 99 Z28 1LE with less then 8K miles on it for half the price of new. Im still trying to locate who owned the car, i got it at a dealership. Yes, the roof was painted, the mirrors were painted. The stripes are painted into the car. Im returning the car to Orange and Black though. I will most likely be doing a hood spoiler swap. Thanks for the input guys, im still a little scared, but 1000k miles later its running fine. Will know more saturday.
