Default Rear Main seal #$%&*

So i noticed that my clutch was slipping. But i just replaced it with a stage 1 centerforce. So i look underneath and see that there is fluid coating everything in front of the trans and behind the oil pan. My best guess right now is the rear main seal blew. im not surprised with 106000 miles of being beat on. any tips or tricks for any easy replacement?

yea, you need to pull the trans, m6 is a bit easier than pulling an A4. Definitly get a new gasket for the rear main housing as well, then just take the new rear main and pop it in the housing when its off the engine. Its easier to install back on the engine and you'll know that all your gaskets on the engine that require tranny removal to replace will be brand new. I'd check your clutch hydraulics too, did you replace the slave cylinder with the clutch?

An older remedy is to throw a cap full of brake fluid in the oil. It'll make all the rubber gaskets swell up a little bit, fixing most leaks.
