LS6 Intake...Never expected...

LS6 Intake...Never expected... Ok...Stg 2 MTI LS1 5.7 heads, X1 cam, all bolt ons with Macs except for LS6 intake...I never thought that the intake was THAT bigga deal so I never spend money on it...well patience paid off and I snagged one for HELLA HELLA cheap and slapped it on this weekend....
HOLY LORD OF HORSEPOWER!!! I know I must've picked up 20+ horsepower..the car litteraly wants to devour whatever is in front of it now...used to be above 4K the car would kinda nose dive a lil...thought it was the transmission...well now above 3500 it's like "Vtec" kicks in...I know that's when the X1 really starts to shine and now that the LS6 is on the car OMG does that cam flow!!!! I'm sure I'm in the 430hp range (Was doing 415ish before the intake on MTI dyno)...Damn...I cant believe it made that big of a difference but it shoooo did...I wish I would've spent the money sooner!

Re: LS6 Intake...Never expected... It seems with the heads and cam that almost every mod has a bigger effect than the stock bolton route. The airflow is there and HP goes up. Congratulations on the new numbers and have fun.

Re: LS6 Intake...Never expected... jmX got 25RWHP from just an LS6 intake on his heads/cam car. As Kent said, the more mods you have done, the more you'll get from a mod like this because thats how much more power you were missing in the first place!!

Re: LS6 Intake...Never expected... Yes I could definatly feel quite a difference...it's amazing what happens when you unchoke a motor. I wonder how much better if ANY these new LSX intakes and such will be. I'm still praying the LS2 Heads will bolt on to the LS1 block. HEHEHEHEE....

Thanks for the props, I honestly didn't expect it to pick up like it did but GOSH DANG...the car flys now....really big seat of pants difference...even my wife (MRSLS1) was simply amazed at the difference.

How could you feel the 20ish hp increase from SOTP while already being over the 400 mark???
I know for sure that when I did LT Headers I did not notice very much SOTP but must have gained at least 20rwhp... even then being at stock hp level
