Default Headers to bullets dumped

I have read a few threads on this. Its basically like will this work?, or does it sound good? My questions is if I run LT's straight into bullets is it going to be too loud? If a cop is behind me can I pull it off, or is it just going to be obnoxious? Eventually I will get TD's, but this is all I can do right now... The car is not cammed.

Can I get some opinions?

I have Hooker 1 3/4 LT's to a custom true dual setup which dumps before the backseats. I have the dynomax bullets on, and they are very loud. Granted, I have a 383 with a big cam. I have cops look at me everytime I see one. I got pulled over ON MY OWN STREET by a local cop (turns out he lives on my street, but was on duty) and said he didn't want to see the car on the street again (this was 2 years ago or so). Haven't had anyone else mess with me since about it. I would definitely not consider this for a DD if you have a good sized cam

I think it would be obnoxious. Wait for the duals, they will be loud enough.

Here's 2 vids of how mine sounds... mind you this isn't a ls1, but you'll get the idea of how loud it might be with a big enough cam.

The only problem I really have is that I cant afford the TD's right now. This is the story... my cats are clogging up pretty bad, and I just want to go ahead and throw the headers on there and not worry about cats anymore. Then I thought... well I guess I could just get some bullets welded on the end of the headers until I can afford to have the TD's made. I came on here and looked, and people have done it before and said it sounded good, but its pretty loud.

Loud is ok with me. I used to have a big block H/C Galaxie with an H pipe that was dumped before the axle with glass packs. I got pulled over for that a few times, but I usually just got a compliment and a warning. I just want to know if my LS1 will be louder than that with basically no exhaust. I think any louder than that I would just not be able to pull it off if I got beside a cop or something. Dont get me wrong, I love making kids **** their pants, but dont like tickets too much.

We installed those spiral flows directly on the LT's on my wife's car. It really isn't too bad but it's def loud. It's not too bad becuase it is very deep sounding.

I used the spriral flows because they are a lot lighter & they baffle the sound better.

+1 on the spiral flows but it's still going to be way loud and you will be hassled.
