Airbox opening on WS6 vs Firehawk?

Airbox opening on WS6 vs Firehawk? Hey all,
Is the opening on the front of the WS6 airbox larger than the Firehawk airbox? If it is, is that due to the lower portion of the airbox or the lid. I have a 2002 Firehawk that has the SLP Blackwing lid on it and the front opening on the airbox seems pretty small. If any one knows if there is a different, let me know! Thanks!

Re: Airbox opening on WS6 vs Firehawk? Firehawks come with the standard firebird/camaro lower air box. I have seen Firehawks with WS6 lowers (which is twice as big)... so I doubt it's hard to make fit.
Re: Airbox opening on WS6 vs Firehawk? be carefull, it might hit the hoood, The WS6 has more room, hence the higher box. What i would do, is find an old one, take yours off for safe keeping since it's a firehawk, and do the free ram air mod to the other one.
Re: Airbox opening on WS6 vs Firehawk? FWIW, the WS6 lower airbox will fit on a regular T/A it's hood with an aftermarket lid like Direct Flo. It's very tight on my car but it fit's. I think there's a good chance the WS6 lower airbox will fit on a Firehawk with an aftermarket lid. I'd be careful testing to find out.
