New Tb and now engine light on????? I just put a new 80 mm on my 99 TA Ls1 along with the slp lid and smooth bellows.
It responds great but the problem is it idles higher, 650 compared to 500 but it starts at about 1000 and takes a minute to come down.
Also the check engine light is on now????????
any guesses why or better yet how do I fix it???

To much idle air either from vac leak at throttle body monting point or throttle blade open to much at idle. SES light code more than likely high idle code or unmetered air code. Check to make sure throttle cable is not to tight causing throttle to stay open simple fix just adjust cable if not adjust throttle blade to close more at idle with adjustment screw. To check throttle body seal should be able to hear bad leak or can spray a little wd40 around mount point and see if engine changes rpm. I would do a tps rest also engine off unplug tps turn key on do not start turn key off after about 30 secs then plug back in.
