Default Magnaflow...

How does the Magnaflow sound with stock maifolds/Y pipe with the T-Tops off in around town driving? Can you have a conversation? How about with everything closed? Is there resonance?

The Magnaflow has a great sound. It's a low basey rumble at idle and low RPMs. You'll have no problems conversing with your passenger with the T-Tops off. Some people would say it's too quiet with the windows rolled up but I think it's perfect. No highway drone either. You can wake it up with some high RPM driving though.

Very nice. That's almost exactly what I'm looking for. I am assuming it works nicely with headers then, down the road?

Yes, it will work nicely with a set of long tubes. Look at my sig, Jet-Hots and an ORY with a Magnaflow muffler. It's quiet (but ballsy) at idle, but will wake up at WOT. I really like the sound of mine. If you want it really loud, just get a cut out and enjoy the stares.

I have JEt HOt Headers, ORY and MAgnaflow catback. It sound great at idle but have a nasty radp from 2300 to 2800 and its to loud a WOT. When I had it on a stock set up it was the sweetest sounding exhaust I have ever heard. It had a deep musclular tone and no rasp.

Another thumbs up here for the Magnaflow... I put the catback on in the spring and have been enjoying it ever since. Just the "right" amount of rumble at idle, but roars at full throttle. Great fit and finish. Highly recommend this setup.

Check E-bay. That's where I got mine. Best price around.

There is a difference with the front pipe. The systmes mate to the y pipe at different places, you'd have to cut it up to try to make it work...(the lt1 version).
