Default 98 Alternator Wiring Q

I'm in the middle of putting my car back together after a new motor/turbo install and I'm having trouble remembering what goes where on my alternator.

Got a spot for the clip connector on the top, stud on the bottom backside of the unit with a nut for a wire. I've got 2 leads - a hot lead with a ring connector (red wire) and a ground lead (black wire) with a ring and boot to cover it. This black lead with the boot goes on the bottom backside I mentioned first, correct? Or is this the hot lead spot? It's not identified on the alt. case that its + or - and I can't find another spot on the alternator for the other wire to go.

Also the thin ground strap that I remember goes to the side of the block kinda behind the alternator on the drivers side, whats it connect to?

Sorry for the sorta silly questions, I haven't looked at one of these since I took it off 6 months ago...car's a 98 (if theres anything oddball about the alternator of that year) thanks guys
