How to check a plug wire with an ohmeter deal to see if it is bad compared to the other wires?

This can be very deceiving. Never assume that just because the resistance on a high tension wire is ok, that it really is ok. Ok? For OEM wires on our cars that are less than a foot long look for @ 3K-5K ohms of resistance, maybe less. Aftermarket wires tend to have much less resistance. If you suspect a wire is bad, swap it with another wire and see if the miss goes away. Do not depend on your ohmmeter to determine the integrity of a high tension wire. A scope is another reliable way to check spark plug wire integrity. However if you do have excessive resistance on one wire compared to the other wires, chances are it is bad.

Open the hood in the dark

If you see a little electric show going on.. put on new wires

Seriously though.. I normally change my wires ~20-25,000 miles unless I find something wrong.

I relocated my coils with the Jay Fisher kit, and I think one of his wires may be bad.
