Default TD Clearance question

So I got my TD setup on the car and of course the clearance is garbage. But Ive noticed some people getting 3/4 of a pop cans worth of clearance. Mine has maybe 3 inches. Im using the u type clamps and know those hang low, but Im talking the actual piping. So my question, have any of you had an exhaust hanger welded on the X to hold the pipe up and not let it sag at the X? Or what can I do to fix this?

the X is the lowest spot?

the lowest spot on most cars are the mufflers, or the headers, mine are the bullets but I can still squeeze a soda can under there.

pics of your setup...

I wish...I scraped on a dip on the highway today. I was like "I hope my heads/headers will forgive that one".

Is it the TSP duals? You may have the X-section upside down if so. We had it upside-down on an install before and it will make the X and the mufflers hang really low.

And did you mount the hangers that are attached to the muffler to the car? With those mounted there's no reason the X should be 'sagging'.

I've installed many of these systems and every one of them have tucked up very very well. Let us know what you find out

Im about 90% sure its a TSP system, thats what I was told. I didnt even think bout the X being upside down, it didnt look like anything was angled. But the rear hangers are mounted through the rear seatbelt mount holes. I can push the system up by hand but dont want to stress the headers.

Make sure the x is not upside down. With the TSP system the pipes are welded to the x so you cant adjust it. If not for that you could rotate the pipes inside the x which will angle the muflers up and put them higher than the x itself.

The way your describing it, it sounds like the x is upside down. It's hard to notice it until you have it installed but when we had it on upside down the X piece and the mufflers hung really low.

Update:

I took everything back off and tightened it all back up. I flipped the x pipe over. And made sure everything was tight and would sag. I got about 3 more inches out of it. I also hung the dumps higher. Ill get pics up soon, I also need to get it welded. Sounds like I have a miss or a leak.
