Headers and Y pipe question
Headers and Y pipe question Hey I have borla catback for my 98 TA ws6. I want to buy headers and a OR Y pipe that aren't crazy expensive. So I was planning on getting pacesetter headers and their OR Y. Does anyone see any problems with this set up with my borla? And will all i have to buy is the set of headers and Y pipe or will I need anything extra. Im planning on getting them from WS6store if that helps.

I had the Pace longtubes with both a TSP Y and a Pace Y going into my old Borla. Worked fine and sounded badass. Get yourself a pair of 24" o2 sensor extensions and a pair of new GM exhaust manifold gaskets. Since the merge on the Pacesetter Y is mediocre at best, I took an die grinder with a carbide tip and ported out all the extra, overhanging material in there. That should have you taken care of. My advise would be to get the "race" style headers and just delete the EGR and AIR. If you get the non-race headers, you'll have to pick up some block off plates if you want to delete that stuff.
Would you mind giving me a link of those 02 extensions and the gaskets? I'm going to order the Y pipe today and save up for the headers and the before mentioned. I just wont put the Y pipe on yet if you think its best i wait. Thanks!

There ya go. I have those. If you have the extra money I'd suggest going with the Bosch 13111 vette o2's. I'll be switching to them soon.

Pacesetter LT's w/ TSP catted Y here. Everything bolted up just fine to my borla. The sound is great at idle and cruise. My car screams at WOT. You'll be happy with the setup. Respectable power increase also.
