Thumbs up The Hooker Aero Chamber Muffler

If your running stock exhaust system with cats , this is the one . After trying many different set-ups this is the one that absolutely sounds the best . From idle to crusing, it gives that deep V8 growl and when crusing , it has that great highway rumble . Kinda like a Ford ! Damn , did I really say that ?
At last I'm satisfied with the sound of my 02 Z . And now I won't have to go to all the trouble & expense of headers and or TD's . Plus my car won't have that disgustingly awful unburned fuel smell .

well i got the aero chamber muffler and when i had stock piping and cats i couldnt even hear the exhaust at all. maybe a little louder then stock. i like a little rumble. but i got my LT's and Y pipe and it is a little broken up and raspy. but i get nothing but compliments from people. WOT is pretty badass also

The cam and compression, and headers .Is what make the tone from a muffler ,The more compression you have the louder the sound and the cam will determine the lope, and the headers will determined the tone. I know there's other things that can determined the sound, like timing among others,But to me the top three is the main. With my LS2 418 ,it shakes the ground at idle and is loud as hell at wot with the Hooker Aero Chamber with a 3" (Y) pipe.

I love the sound of a Hooker Aerochamber also, so much so I built 2 cat-bak style setups, one for my LS1 car and one for my LT1 car. The LT1 car still wears hers, my LS1 car had to shed hers because it was a sort of bottleneck back there. I pulled it while running a street class that I couldnt have cared less about (12 Oh class no faster) I normally run 10.40s and it (the Aero chamber) was slowing me to 10.80s and I lost about 5 MPH. Anyways I stood it on the bumper while running a Moustang and he gave up before the 1/8th. He won because I ran a 10.42 on my 12 flat dial. The crowd went crazy though.

I sure do love the sound of it on the LT1 car though.

I have one sitting around and I'll probably put it on my M6 car. I think it sounds good with the exception that it is very quiet. I thought it would help with rasp when I put LT's on my A4 car. It was a lot quieter than the GMMG but still raspy.
