Default header gasket problem

i bought new copper header gaskets and i cant get them to seal , what gives ? its like they arent thick enough , so what gaskets do i go with ?

stock or fel-pro is common as well as cosmetic depending if your heads are milled... did you full smooth the block decks? takes about an hour or two to fully get them smooth if its that first time the heads have been off

Header gaskets . I've seen a few people on here that have had problems with the copper ones. Try the GM ones. I got new ones for my headers and they don't leak at all.

I've always used the GM gaskets and had zero issues.

+1 for GM MLS used the ones that came with the car 100xxx miles and had the headers of many times and still on the original gaskets (man i'm cheap)
