Default Different stock MAF sizes?

So I tried searching and nothing came up. I ported my 2000 Z28 MAF and want to go back to stock. So I just bought a stock MAF off of a member here. He said it came with some other 2001 Camaro parts. When I went to put it on today, it was slightly too small. I've seen a few numbers flying around here (75mm/78mm), and was wondering why the part I bought is too small. Could it be a 75 and mine's a 78? Could mine be an 85mm by any stretch? I can measure myself, but where is the measurement from? The inside walls? Outside to outside? I'm just puzzled by this and want to try to get a stock MAF that fits.

I'm pretty sure all the stock mafs are the same size. Some of the vettes had 85mm mafs. Is yours metal on both sides? The 85's are usually plastic on one side.

I've seen that smaller one he's talking about. We got it out of a 98z28. Never actually measured it though. Just looked at it and thought... that's cute.

Here they are side by side. Nearly identical, but the non-ported one is slightly smaller. I'm heated about this
