shifter hitting console
Is it stock or aftermarket?
I dont remember what the stock shifter looks like off hand but I know that the LT1 shifter has a bend in it. In my 94 Z28 the shifter can turn in the base area which moves the bend. Mine hits in second gear.
I would check that and see where it gets you.
If its aftermarket...sounds like its in need of adjustment.

Mine hits going into R. But its the pro 5.0 short stick... not sure what yours is. Not all that uncommon.
As long as its not hitting it hard, or messing up your shifting (5/6th)... your fine. But if its stock it shouldnt be hitting.
