Coolant leaking?
Coolant leaking? So today, about 90 degrees outside, I was out cruising around and turned on the ac for a good 10-15min, came home turned the car off and went inside the house. I come outside 1min late and theres a bunch of coolant leaking out from what seems to be the front of the engine. I still have plenty of coolant left, I started the car with ac on and off for 10min and let it run, didn't drip or at least it didn't seem like it. I parked it for the night and now im wondering what it is thats wrong or if anything. I haven't added coolant in and the coolant has been fine all last year for summer. Any idea if on what this is or if its serious? I figured either something with the water pump or it overflowed but idk why its coming from the front of the engine. I just hope it isnt anything serious..as I just ordered headers like a day ago and was planning to get them done with next week...lol
Check the coolant lines that flow under the throttle body to the heads. Could be leaking from there. Or the water pump it self. Where the pulley rides on the pump snout that seal behind the pulley can leak allso, That leak is hard to pin point because the pressure in the pump my push against the seal and when the car is shut off it leaks. And all of your coolant hose of couse
as long as it isnt anything serious, It seems it only leaks when I turn the ac on anyways. So.. sunday when its suppose to be a high of 98..ttops are staying off and im driving very fast to keep cool..lol
