Default Abaco Maf

Before I waste too much time visiting the web site and reading tech stuff that's over my head, does anyone know anything about this brand? Are there any "must-do" reasons to buy one?

Jeez, this new technology stuff seems like it changes hourly. I have a FAST 92mm intake/TB, and already bought an aftermarket MAF, but if the ABACO unit provides advantages other MAF's can't, and would be compatible, I might be interested.

Never heard of it but you dont need it, the stocker is fine. IF you want to go bigger the GM 85mm Z06 maf will do it you need bigger than that for FI or huge cubes TSP has a 100mm that is very nice.

Stick to the stocker or z06 or TSP 100m... Maybe they could put some more stuff into the flow area ??? I just dont like the looks of that unit, beyond the fact the OEM is fine. They dont even have test results yet....LOL..

Grazie infinite!

Well, it looks like I have two choices, as I have two MAFs laying around:

'03 Z06 (with harness...I think the pin connector is different)

Jet MAF

I also have a Volant cold air induction unit that I hope isn't going to muck things up when it comes time to install that.............

Once again, thanks for the advice/information.......

I used an 02 Z06 for a while on my h/c 347. Now I have a 100mm for my 457.

Lets bring this thread back again. I've seen the ads in magazines for at least a year now, and I talked to the abaco guys at the PRI show. They said their 95 (90 something anyways, might've been 97) mm MAF was good for 1200 hp! I'd much rather do that than a SD tune.

This was originally tested on my 6L car and had great results. Not for sure if Rick Anderson from Anderson Ford wants me to let out exact details. Give Rick a call at Anderson Ford in Clinton, IL. if you have more interest.

Right now they are engine dyno testing on a stock motor'd LS1 to graph the gains, as mine has quite a few mods.

If you go to the site http://www.abacoperformance.com/ and click on test results, you can see the HP gain on my car at the top.

wow.... 30/30 gain! That's nice! Maf's are just so damn touchy it's hard to justify cost/headache versus proven stockers... I'd like to see some more positive results from other members before I forked out for it...

Rise from the dead! not only 30/30, look at the torque curve go up 50-60 in areas. I call bs, or at least something is fishy. I would like to see some F/A Ratios with these runs.

http://www.abacoperformance.com/testresults.htm

Also, if you look, you can clearly see a FAST intake, but it isn't listed in the mods.
