I'm in the middle of installing a Fast 90 intake on my 04 GTO, i have a question.

I bought the intake used and i dont have the intake valley button head bolts.
Someone told me that with my LS1 that i dont need them.

I had an issue with my intake not seating properly, i thought it had to do with the intake valley bolts but it turns out i had bend the coolant tube that runs from head to head because the manifold was sitting on it.

So my question is do i need those bolts?

I went everywhere today looking for them i couldnt find that type of bolt anywhere.

 

Yes, you need these. They are mandatory if you want your intake to seal properly. Most hardware stores have SS button heads.

 

You'll bust your intake. GET THOSE BOLTS!!

 

Yeah i went everywhere Ace,Homedepot,truevalue nobody has em.
They all had button head bolts but they only had up to 6mm.
