i still have the SLP dual/dual catback that came stock on my hawk. I have LT/ORY and its really quiet in comparison to just about everyone here in dallas. its not dead quiet... its loud enough that i can hear the car but not obnoxiously loud.

Currently running straight pipes on my ride. Really not that loud, but looking to go 'stealth' mode with a quieter exhaust. I had a knockoff flowmaster 2.5" muffler w/2k on it prior to straight pipes. Is there any way to make it quieter? I was considering trading someone for a stocker, but they are so heavy. Sounds like the flowmaster actually makes it louder. I don't mind loosing a few ponys for a quieter exhaust.

well this is my max flow setup look how quite it is as i practically shove my camera into the tip LOL
and on the road on 2,000 rpm its loud as stock imo but deeper tone...
at like 4500-6000rpm it gets suprisingly loud..im all stock with a lid on the vid.
muffler is 3in in 3in out even tho im using the stock 2.75 piping got the 3 inch so if i ever do any future upgrades.

^^^ Very cool! So I decided to use the flowmaster and cap one of the outlets. One tail pipe on the driver side, bent to turn-down like 98-Z28-Darkness did. Pretty quiet and only cost $45 at muffler shop. Feels like I lost hp up top and gained a little low end. I'll probably go with maxflow when I do more mods eventually. Neighbors are happy and I got my stealth exhaust! That will work for now....

I will pick one up eventually. It actually sounds good, even quiet. Probably go to 3" like you. Did I give you vid address: www.youtube.com/ashevillestreetrods
