z06 maf on a 98 t/a
z06 maf on a 98 t/a i have a chance to pick up a 04 zo6 maf with the correct harness adaptor for a good price, which will be useful when i change intakes in a couple months. I have heard something about the pcm in the 98 models not working correctly with this maf, just wondering if anyone has any insight with the possible issues, supposedly the z06 maf could send out a signal over 12,000 hz which the 98 pcm cant handle. I would think this would be close to maxing out the maf which with just heads and cam i dont see it happening with me. thanks for any help.
my max is 10700hz, i am adding some patriot ls6 heads but my tuner said it still should not be an issue, i just dont know myself and wanted some of you guys feedback.
The last time that car was logged monitoring the MAF Freq, the highest was 10,300 Hz and that is with a cam only car. Also, that was in 40 degree weather. Even with the new heads, I don't think it will reach 11,250 Hz. Just throwing more info out there.
