Default Difference between LS1 and LS6 heads?

hey guys, posting this up for a buddy of mine....he has a set of 241 castings that he will be putting on his 2000 z28...and he wants to know, what are the major differences between the two, and can the 241s be ported to imitate or even match the 243 castings?

I think the LS6's have a 10cc larger runner so they will flow a little better. Any LS1 head can be ported to far outperform the LS6 head. In fact, once ported they are all about the same. Same as in ported vs. ported.

The LS6 when ported is still better. Just the way the runner is shaped.
