questions about running an open y pipe?
questions about running an open y pipe? awhile ago i took off my magnaflow system just out of curiosity and boredom. in what way will this affect my car other than making it louder? does it add any hp gains over the the magnaflow cat back? Gas mileage?(ive been getting crappy gas mileage lately).
would you recommend that i put the exhaust system back on? I think the rear end looks like crap without it. just too plain for me i guess. but i will miss the loud sound. It actually sounds normal to me now since im so used to it.

Running dumped out of the Y won't hurt anything. If anything the weight loss form no exhaust is probably helping.
Personally I like the opposite.. exhaust tubing and muffler hanging down on the back of the 4th gen camaros looks like complete ***. I'd get an Aluminum rearend cover and take all the heat shields and crap off. It worked for my car..

its weird, some angles like the one you posted look badass. on a mostly stock car like mine it looks too plain and boring but can look good from the right angle.
