borla will still be raspy. What i would do is place a cutout in your i pipe then after that put a spun can then a magnaflow muffler so you have a loud raspy car when uncapped but when it is capped it will have a nice deep magnaflow sound with no rasp at all.

Thanks for the pics! I'm still debating my options. On a Firebird I like tips, just not on a Camaro. I just don't want to hack up a $400 SLP exhaust! Anyone want to buy it? lol. Your car looks sick too. We have similar taste!

Decisions, decisions, what to do. I really like the idea of the electric cut-out for quick on demand HP and sound, but I also would like a cost efficient fix. Oh yea, clearance is also a big concern since my car is on Eibach Sportlines.

My options now.
Mufflers to replace LD resonator and keep tips, or cut pipes right as they dump over the axle.
Borla XR-1
Moroso Spiral Flow
Magnaflow tubular race muffler

Or... Buy a electric cut out and place it right after the y-pipe and install an actual mufler in the back of the car like a normal catback. I don't like it when you see the muffler when your driving behind an F-body though... Plus, I'm not buying cats!! I'll keep y'all updated!

Ok, I think I'm going to replicate the GMMG exhaust with two Sweet Thunders since the LD is similar how it goes over the axle from 3" to two 2.5" pipes. I'm going to search for GMMG pics now!

have you looked at the powersticks by classic chambered? EAD carries them... they are awesome sounding! I was gonna get those instead of the magnaflow, but at the time they were 3 weeks out and I couldn't wait that long...
