Default shortys and slp y

I want to know how much power i can expect adding shorty and a slp y pipe.
I know long tube will make more power, but thats not what i want to hear, also dont give me smart answer lik shortys add -5 hp.... if you havent had shortys or had personal experince with them please dont post. thank you guys.
btw its a 98 t/a a4 and lid.

I have shortys on my 02' LS1. I like um' okay, but I wanted to keep stock cats for visual(Not anymore though). Y-pipe should help. I need one. Don't expect too much hp though. With my Slp lid, MAF, bellows, shortys w/gutted cats, slowmaster, 160 thermostat and a tune I got 315rwhp 332rwtq. 2nd gear gets the car sideways and it is an A4! The tune is the key. My car ran crappy with shortys untill the tune. I'd bet $ yours will too, as have many others. The tune also tunes the tranny so it won't cutoff your power as bad during shifts(harder on tranny, but so what) and other changes. If I could go back I would have put a stall conv instead of shortys first. Are you putting them in yourself? Cause the garage will cost a lot. Had mine installed with new plugs/wires over $500(can do it myself now). You will loose hp on bottom as with other headers. PM me if I can help.

i think ill o it mself wat were u makin power wise before the shorts? and how much you think the y pipe will help

save urself the trouble and keep the stock manifolds on, if ur not going lts then dont do anything honestly

i did this years ago.... swapped out my stockers for edelbrock shorties, stock cats, and the SLP y pipe. IMO, you should start somewhere else first, like a stall for your tranny. I felt more of a gain swapping out my SLP lid for a K&N, than swapping for the shorties
