LSx Engine w/ Autometer Tach Question
I was just wondering, if any of you who hooked your LSx engine up to an Autometer Tach, did you have to use the 9117 Tach Signal Adapter? Is this even neccesary?

There is the link, in the instructions the LSx engine is listed but I know there is also a tach signal, its a white wire coming out of the PCM, and it also is accessable through the passenger side kick panel in one of the connectors. Any input is great. Thanks

I run this tach http://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugede...id=2831&sid=15 with my 5.3 off the PCM tach signal wire. It works fine, just a bit "bouncy" under 1K RPMs.

mines the sport comp, 5" silver with shift light, i hooked it up using that tach signal wire but no luck. It didnt show any rpm's at all, its similar to yours and should work the same. i forgot which wire it is on the pcm, i think its PIN 10 or something on the blue side. I believe that same wire runs through the pass side kick panel and into the guage cluster, this is where I tapped my wire, maybe I should tap it at the pcm? Thanks
