Default Typhoon Intake Manifold

I looking to get one of these intakes in the next month or so. I currently have a LS1 intake. The LS1 model comes in a 85mm TB inlet and the LS2 comes in a 96mm TB inlet. Would it be possible to run the LS2 intake on my LS1? What would need to be changed. I plan on running whatever TB that is needed to match whatever intake I get so thats not an issue. Im just curious about the other things such as fuel injectors, MAP sensor, PCV connections, etc. On WS6Store.com they say you can use the intake on a LS1 but I thought I heard differently somewhere else but cant find it. My second thought is that a 85mm inlet may be sufficent and for less than $75 more I could be at 96mm so why go smaller than have to upgrade later. I am also going to do a back to back dyno comparison between stock and Typhoon.

lot of info to search. You should spend sometimes doing it cause its important to know what you want: LS2 will not fit fuel rails and injectors and TB. Its 90mm TB and not a 96. LS2 is no good unless you port it(around 300$), but it becomes pricy because you need the extra fuel rails and injectors adapter. So youre looking for a ported LS2+hardware(600$+-?) for real gains and 350$ for a nice Nick williams 90mm TB. Some did very good with that but not so many.

LS6 will be as good as the Typhoon and just port your stock 78mm TB and youre set for a very cheap and efficient setup(like I have). I'm pushing around 480 bhp.

Or, get a good deal on a Typhoon, and get good results too and the intake is more resistant to backfire(N2O setup).

And after that you spent the money for H/C/N2O, you realize you want more hp and you say to yourself I should've spend the extra dough to get the ported FAST and gain over 25rwhp over a LS6/Typhoon/LS2!!

I'd say go for the LS6 if youre on a budget; its proven over and over that its nice gain over LS1. As much as 25rwhp sometimes!!

Looking at your mods the ls2 intake is too much and the typhoon 85 mm is plenty big-you can only suck in so much air/fuel on a bolt-on car and the bigger intakes will do you no good, that is why sombitch suggested what he did. Also I was going with the typhoon intake, but did some research on this site and found some diconcerning articles about fitment, and the leaky fuel rails(put teflon tape on to save yourself). The last nail in the coffin was when I went to my local chevy performance mechanic he explained to me that on there dyno runs the manifolds heat soak actually got them to lose power consistently after each run, so if your going for looks go with the bbk 85mm (better feedback, you can find them for 400.00 forgot the website) If your looking to get to the magic 400hp+ you will need a cam, and good luck to you.

Thanks, yea I was kind of going for that look as well. Im picking up a head and cam package as well within the next month or so, so I was definitly looking for an intake to go with it. Going to be running a F13 cam with patriot cnc 243's. I was definitely going for that polished look.
