Default Header and Y-pipe fitment

So I'm going to be doing headers and a y-pipe on the '02 WS6 next. I'm going the Jet Hot header route. But I was wondering if the type of y-pipe made a difference? Like does an SLP y-pipe fit to the Jet Hot headers, etc? Or do certain y-pipes only fit to certain headers. I'm sure collector size and all that matters but just checking. Probably a newb question but I'm just starting to get in this thing.

Each Y will only fit certain headers, so you have to make sure you get one made to work with your headers. I'm not sure which ones fit the Jet Hots. I have the pacesetters, and pretty sure they are basically the same as the hookers, which will work with the TSP y pipes and the pacesetter Y. Beware, the Y pipe is the axis of evil on these cars. I've yet to hear of one mass produced that doesn't bang the floorboard. Mine really pisses me off and I'm on my 3rd one in search of a good fit and clearance. If your not lowered it does make it easier since you have a little more room to work with.

Well I'm not lowered so hopefully that will help. Though I intend to be. I wasn't aware that they had problems with clearance. Has anyone ever tried to bend their own or have one bent? I wouldn't think it would be that difficult if you had good measurements.

I've been down that road myself for so long, I had a custom Y built and it was nothing but trouble, I wasted alot of time and money trying to fix it. Finally I gave up and got the ARH system - I've never looked back. No more squeaks, rattles, and it tucks up really nice - no longer any exhaust/road bumps/gutter contact.

Dont think ARH is the answer to every problem though. Mine bangs when you take off from a stop. I think its the header hitting though, I dont think the ypipe is hitting. Just saying there is no catch all when it comes to these cars.
