Default Underdrive and Belts ?

I have an ATI underdrive damper. I noticed the other day that the belt tensioner is almost hitting the stop. I thought it was a streched belt, but a new one wasn't any better. Does anyone know of a part number at NAPA, AutoZone, or whatever that is a little smaller?

What was the part number of the one that was too long? With Goodyear, the last digits are the belt length.

I believe 4060790 is stock length (79.0"). 4060770 is what I'm running on my Camaro with a 25% underdrive. You should be ok with one that is somewhere in between these two. Maybe 4060780 (78.0")...

With a stock tensioner and a ASP Underdrive Pulley, TSP sent me a 4060760. It would always start to walk on me and I eventually lost it on the highway and had to get towed cause I didn't know the belt # off hand to pick one up and have someone bring me one. Bought a 4060755 and it's looking good with the stock tensioner. I initially bought another 76" belt, the 760, but did some searching here and decided on the 75.5" belt. I did keep the 760 in the trunk for a spare though.

Come to think of it and in light of what SweeT just posted, I may be wrong about the length I'm actually running. I'll take a peak and post back.

We definetly need to know what you have on the car now to give you a part # for a shorter belt....Like Shevrolay said the last #'s are the belt length with most companies.

OK, ATI damper with underdrive, stock power steering pulley, Meziere EWP with pulley, stock alternator pulley, and stock tensioner.

It is the stock replacement belt. I have no idea what the part number is.

Its kinda difficult to give you the part # of a shorter belt without knowing what you have in the first place...the # is printed on the flat side of the belt itself.
