Rob any HP or same? I wanna buy this intake and have it chromed. Am I going to lose any hp with this intake compared to my plastic ls6 intake? I know it will be hotter than my plastic intake but will it hurt my performance much? If so, do you think debaffling my ram air hood and sealing the the hood to my lid will suck in cooler air from the outside instead of the engine bay? Any help/advice? Thanks!

It says it gains 15hp but that is probably compared to the LS1 intake.I would think you may loose a bit of hp due to heat sink but I dont think it would be noticable without a dyno.
Removing the baffles would get you a bit more hp but I dont think it would be due to colder air. Sealing off the hood/airbox is more of a pressure effect like a supercharger just way less. I lke the JAAM kit from fast toys...one of my next upgrades.
