Anyone ever try to fab an exhaust like this?
The exhaust gas is expanding and losing velocity as it moves away from the exhaust port . You want your exhaust therefor to never be or get smaller towards the rear of the car.
The length of the collector tubes beyond about 12 to 18" from the primaries on our cars makes no difference, so the y where it is in the stock location is fine. Beyond that you want the pipe the right size to handle the volume but still maintain some velocity so our single 3" I pipe or dual 2 1/2s is plenty of volume. Keep the bends smooth and the muffler low restriction and you'll have a good efficient exhaust.
