Default Bad Maf?

I have used the search to death, but here goes. After H/C/I/E and full tune about a month ago. Now my car has a stumble when trying to slowy take off in first gear, almost feels like its running out of gas. I unplug the maf and the car wants to die. I think i am going to have the tuner convert it to SD. The car makes 455rwhp, so would SD be the right route to go, car throws no codes but the tuner might have disabled them. And I already replaced O2's. Any help? Thanks.

what gears are in the back? some driveability issues at low RPMs are related to the new cam making all its power up top and falling on its face down low. different gears such as 4.10's will help with low RPM (taking off) drivablity.

Yes. also of course if you unplug the MAF its going to stumble on its but.

i wouldn't go SD if you have just a regular daily driver or basic car

yes, but it will do that throughout the RPM range, not just on take off.
