LS2 intake on LS1 fitting

im putting the Ls2 intake on a LS1 and it will not fit with the vapor vent pipe.. how do you suppose or can i toss the vapor vent pipe? ive already knocked out egr and the air pump and already have all of the adapters for the intake to fit.

Pick up a set of rear plugs and front vent pipe that are used for the LS2 and you should be ok. You do need the vent pipe to ensure that the air (steam) do get vented out and not cause a air pocket.

What is your reason for going with the LS2 intake? Cost?

LS2 intake w/ stock 90mm TB flows less than LS6 intake with 78mm TB

i thought the LS2's won't fit on LS1 block/heads

yea its cost, its ported and i have the 90/90 setup and im rebuilding it anyway and i had to cut some stuff short.

Well, LS2s have LS6 heads..and people use those on LS1s...I think the difference are with the cam/crank/etc

Probably the same problem people swapping to LS6 intakes have... flat bottom compared to the LS1s curved?

its the same as doing a ls6 conversion, get the rear plugs as said and a ls2-6 or lq4-9 front cross over tube. i know you can die grind alittle on the ls6 intake to clear the tube, i ASSume you can do the same on the ls2 intake. just search on ls6 install and you will find all the info. also the injectors are slightly differant on the ls2, so if your running ls1 injectors you will need to get the correct o-rings to make them work with that intake.

ya really don't understand this... hasn't it been proved time after time that the LS6 intake flows if not better than the LS2???

yeah completely off topic. yes a box stock ls6 will out flow a box stock ls2, tho a ported ls2 will do better.

well no one ever said you can't port an LS6 intake because I have one of those
