Bluebyu,

Im finishing up the install of mine tonight and I have a quick question. The instructions mention the use of RTV on the O-rings, I have only 1 O-ring that Im aware of and its on the old water inlet that I moved from the stock pump to the Meziere. Also did you use anything on the connectors for the heater hoses or did you simply thread them on and tighten ?

So what exactly do I use RTV on ?

Thanks....

Use the sealant on the threads of the heater hose connectors...just place a small amount in front of the o-rings. Btw, are you using a relay? If so, there is a "Acc" slot in the front fuse box for easy access.

Thanks for info, the instructions are pretty unclear about where to use the RTV.

I'm running an auto 30amp relay, I have all the wiring done so I basically I just need to add the RTV to the threads of the heater connectors and bolt the unit in.

I wouldn't use RTV on the threads of the heater hose connections. I uesd permatex high temp thread sealant it's specifically made to seal those. RTV isn't made to seal threads it's much thicker than the permatex stuf I used.

I'll probably use ARP's teflon thread sealant then.

Got the pump and new hoses installed last night, gave the key a turn (didn't start car) and let me tell you - I was pretty suprised how quiet this unit is. Looks damn good under the hood too.

Thanks for the help on the sealant guys.
