LS2 heads and intake on LS1= how much powaaa My older brother has been converted to muscle by me and got a 99 M6 T/a and will be getting pacesetters/lid very soon and since I have a Vengeance ported fast and (in 3 days) TFS 225 waiting at home I was gonna give him my heads and intake. Would there be any gain in power and if so how much? And Not sure when he will be getting cam but hopefully soon!
He will need other parts for the intake not just the maniflod he will need your fuel rails t/b and other parts also and the heads will give him a gain he just needs to have them milled because if they are stock it will drop his compression.
LS2 799/243 castings are usually worth about 10-15rwhp over the stock 853/241 heads, they also have smaller combustion chambers then stock LS1 heads. Most certainly worth the swap in my opinion. If i recieved those heads I would install them with some .040" head gaskets. Ditch the LS2 intake have him buy an LS6 intake.
