question regarding longtubes and ory...
question regarding longtubes and ory... i bought slp longtube headers a few weeks ago. just today i bought the slp y pipe from summit (part number SLE-31035). it says in the part description that it will bolt to my stock exhaust manifolds.
my question is, will it fit my slp longtube headers as well?
i went onto slponline and the only individual y pipe i saw was the same one i bought off summit. i DID see however that you can buy longtubes WITH a matching y pipe. my mechanic said that if the y pipe will bolt to your stock manifolds, it wont fit the longtubes i have.
can someone help me?

It won't fit without modification. You might be able to get one from SLP. Give them a call. Also, SLP has a new header design so you will need to make sure you get the correct Y from them to fit your headers.
the arent the new race tuned longtubes. they are the previous design and i got them for cheap with 3,000 miles on them. i couldnt pass it up. better then spending almost 1000+$ for brand new headers plus installation.
my mechanic is gonna cut the y pipe and fab them to fit the headers i have.
