NEED help picking a muffler!
NEED help picking a muffler! Ok I just sold my Borla catback.
I'm just going to run a single muffler off the Y pipe and dump it before the axle.
I looked on ls1sounds but didnt see anything that was like my setup..
Kooks 1-3/4 stepped 1-7/8 headers 3" y pipe no cats. MS4 cam.
I dont want a godawful loud sound like the SLP loud mouth is.
I was thinking a borla or dynomax.. I need ideas and input asap thanks

I am thinking about getting rid of my magnaflow and getting a 1 chamber flowmaster just because i love the sound. But if you want quieter i would get the hooker maximum flow.

I have always had the DynoMax bullet on my cars...but a friend of mine has a Sweet Thunder...when I change my setup I am highly considering the Sweet Thunder.

and with a big cam its gonna be downright obnoxious loud.
go with a bigger muffler
the magnaflow 4x9s are great units. they almost quieted my TD setup down too much for me.
and they're stainless
personally i'd get the ypipe enlarged to a 3.5" merge, then run a 3.5" pipe into a 3.5" muffler......good sound, and more flow than the 3" setup.
