Do i need a tune for when i put on the SLP lid?

The stock power is good enough for me. I just want to do a lid and everything else will probably be handling mods. Im really happy with the cars current fuel mileage, i dont want to do anything to hurt that. Its bad *** a 5.7 LS1 muscle car that gets decent mileage.

It would be nice if the effect of the lid was so dramatic that tuning was needed. But no.

Your gas mileage will only increase UNTIL you go into the engine, like H/C.

In other words, get full exhaust and a tune, and youll get more MPG.

yeah... the MPG increasers generally are:
Exhaust, anything that makes more power, makes it through efficiency (more power AND MPG!)
Intake, same deal
Spark plugs - Keep 'em clean, keep them changed.
and the Driver Mod is the biggest proponent in the MPG.
