I have mine ran under the axle. I don't think it looks bad at all and as far as lifting the car I have no problem with that either. When I have it lifted the rear axle will drop some and rest on the pipes but it doesn't hurt anything. I have no dragging or scraping either. Here is a video, you can see how they look..

go over... under looks like crap, and the whole lift thing would get on my nerves... do it right the first time, or you'll just end up spending more money later...

I think that the Bassani kit comes that way.

lets see pics of your duals....

I think under only looks good on the TA, because the lower rear bumper kinda hides the pipes a little more. With the camaro and formula, not so much

98catfish, is that avatar a pic taken during a porno?? I think I might
have seen it! LOL

I don't think going under the axle is a good idea. Look at this:

There's NO way I could drive that around here! I'd lose my exhaust in
no time. The roads are so bad that I'm afraid of getting long tube headers!
There's my $.02

Swat

P.S. No, I do NOT have true duals yet.

I've got as much clearance as I would have had with any aftermarket y-pipe. The picture is taken looking up and the exhaust from the back, so it looks worse than it actually is.

I have had ZERO problems with under the axle. I don't understand why you guys are so against it.

Seems like because they don't like the look, everyone has an opinion. I kind of like to see the pipes so thats why I didn't mind.

For me it's not so much the look, just a 'the roads suck here' issue. When I get my LT headers I'm going to install 'oh ****' bars under the front frame (made to keep from slamming headers after a wheely, the bars hit first). I don't plan on picking up the front wheels any time soon, but I know the roads I drive have plans to smash some headers up. I'm not rich, so I need to protect my investments, especially the expensive ones like headers and custom exhaust. I'd MUCH rather be safe than sorry. When I had my 94 Mustang GT (lowered, custom exhaust and much more) I hit a muffler on one of those steel plates they put on the road during repairs. I'd driven over it before with no problems and at less the 10 mph it crushed the muffler and bent it around the axle one day. I don't mean to step on anyone's toes, I just don't want an issue like that to EVER happen again.

P.S. New avatar pic. **** star Naiomi!
